Fall Colours and Secret Spots of the Canadian Rockies

Come and enjoy the splendours of the Canadian Rockies during the peak of fall colours. Darwin and your host, Alan Ernst, will accompany you to share their photographic expertise and knowledge of the area, so you can discover and capture some of the most rewarding fall colour, scenery, and natural attractions found in the Canadian Rockies. On most days, we will be hiking in the front or main ranges, including diverse scenery such as aspen-groves in meadows, larch forests at tree-line, alpine meadows, glaciers and much more. We maximize our field time to get you the best photos possible. Anybody can photograph Rockies icons, sure we'll take you to icons if the light is right but we will also visit many lesser known spots and 'dig deeper and stay longer' to get you images you would never get on your own or with any other Rockies photo tour.
Please note that this is not a teaching style photo workshop but rather an intense photo tour emphasizing maximum time and opportunity for field photography. Darwin Wiggett and Alan Ernst know the area intimately and will guide you to the right spots and the secret stops at the right time so you can make fantastic winter images. Please note that these tours are for people with a keen interest in photography who want in-depth immersion into field photography with a group of like-minded individuals (six participants max). In all tours there will be ample opportunity to share experiences and techniques with other participants and Darwin will be on hand at all times to answer questions and help you with specialised techniques in the field. Please be advised that you should be fit enough to hike with your gear for at least 3-4 hours per day.
